Rouge Fatal

A special post on a special day: today I am celebrating 4 (!!) years together with my boyfriend. Seems like forever, but smth tells me that there are still some years ahead :) So, during these 4 years Mr. Boyfriend presented me 2 polishes: a Chuxuan and a Chanel. Chuxuan got lost unfortunately, so today I am showing the poshy one, Chanel Rouge Fatal.

Chanel Rouge Fatal

Chanel Rouge Fatal is a burgundy creme, i.e. deep red with a drop of brown. The shade is very opaque, in fact it's a 1-coater! The application was great, for me it was comparable with Butter London polishes. I did like Chanel's brush - thin and easy to operate. The only downside of this polish is that it chips extremely fast, in less than a day.

Now I have to honestly tell you that it is my one and only Chanel, but also one and only Chanel that I wanted to have so much. Apart from Jade *mwahhaha* I'm not against high end brands or anything, it's just I'm not in the right financial situation to purchase those. Or, rather, I can't justify spending 20+€ for a polish. Hopefully one day I will :)

The one who got me this polish will surely not be reading this post, but I still would like to thank him ;)

Do you often get polishes as presents from your boys? :) Or once per 2 years, just like me hehe? :)

Berry Swirls

Such a shame that I haven't posted about American Apparel Berry up to now... I was not wearing it until recently either. Now I really feel bad after I realised what a jewel I've had in my stash all this time and I was not paying any attention to it. Intense and juicy burgundy colour (or berry, as you like), easy application, nice gloss, coverage in 1 coat (although 2 + TC on the photos), fairly long wearing time - all this you can get if you have Berry. Sometimes topped with compliments from other people : )

After a couple of days that I fully enjoyed the colour, I stamped it with AA Rose Bowl, which by itself doesn't really match my skin tone. Oh well, at least I made some use of it as a stamping polish:

One more note: although I have nothing to complain about on this particular polish, such shades - deep red, berry, burgundy etc. - are very demanding during the application. One wrong move and the polish is all around your cuticles (can be seen on my index finger), and there's nothing you can do - it just won't leave if you try to clean up. Or maybe some of you know any secrets of the universe i.e. how to avoid or correct it? : ) I'd be glad to know!
