Holo Glitter by Flormar

Another bling-blingy polish to show you : ) It might not be visible from the first sight, but it's a glitter, too. Nice wintery shiny glitter. Well, I warned you.. : )

Flormar 392

Meet the surprising Flormar #392: silver holographic glitter. The formula is quite thick, but you still need 3 coats to hide the VNL. I used this polish twice, and look, the bottle is already half-empty.. : { The bright side is that you can wear it long without chipping. The dark side is the removal.

The shade is very calm and decent in the day light...

As much as I hate taking pictures in the artificial light, I couldn't stop shooting : ) And couldn't stop staring at my nails too..! Generally, I very much recommend having it. Just for some bling.

Starry Nails

You know what special category of polish I like a lot? Those which you stare at, when you have them on your nails, the same way you stare at the night sky full of stars.. especially at the night summer sky away from the city, where you look at those billions of stars above and can't stop. Away from poetry, for polishes this mostly means deep/dark blue glitter. Something like China Glaze Skyscraper or Essie Starry Starry Night (yes, Essie, why the heck discontinued?!)..  But this time just a layering combination done by myself:

I did this starry mani by layering NYC Lights, Camera, Glitter and Wet'n'Wild Kaleidoscope over Layla #13, but you can just take any similar dark blue and silver glitter and create a similar thing.

I seriously don't recommend doing similar manis when you have a high workload at uni or at work... distracting as hell! =)

Berry Jelly & Sparkles

The polish I'm showing today is one of my favourites in the whole stash. Although I already posted the swatches of it, I think it fully deserves to be reswatched and also shown on shorter nails. MNY #265 is a berry jelly packed with holographic shimmer, which looks like subtle sparks on nails although the particles seem to be rougher in the bottle.

MNY 265

The shade is so squishy, so juicy...mm love it! And for a jelly, the formula is super nice - 2 coats and that's it. Here are some pics under the sun:

And a close-up. I'm not a fan of VNL, but although you can see it on the pics, it's not so visible in reality, so no problems with that.

And now the saddest part: this beauty is obviously discontinued : ( It's just MNY, the whole brand, disappeared from German drug stores for unknown (to me) reason. I'm already upset in advance when I think that this bottle may end someday : ( On the other hand, I saw something similar within new Maybelline Color Show lines, but I'm afraid it's not the same.

Uf, I definitely need more jellies in my life. Houston, we need a jelly! : )

P.S. If you want to see this polish on my looooong nails, klick here : )

UPD: One of the readers, Maria (thank you!), just told me that Maybelline relaunched this colour in their new ColorShow line, just like I thought. In Germany, the colour is called Wine Shimmer (#265!). Maria wrote that in Russia this shade is called Colorama #54 *facepalm*! BUT all three polishes are the same, check Maria's swatches to see :)

Snow. Wanted.

You will probably think that I'm crazy but I desperately want some snow around. The more the better. Because I was born in a place where there was more than enough of it, starting from late September : ) Now that I'm here, with +12 degrees outside on the 1st of December.. it just turns me melancholic. So I thought ok, no snow in real life - let's do it on nails : )

This combination which reminds me sparkling snowy surroundings under the sunny clear winter sky is done with IsaDora Blue Sky (yes yes, exactly!!) covered by Wet'n'Wild Kaleidoscope. The beauties were sent to me in swaps with Miss Jones and Carolina - thank you so much ladies : )

The base polish by itself surprised me positively. I was postponing to try out this cute pearly light-blue shade because of the scary sign on the bottle - "WIDE BRUSH". You know that I hate OPI brushes, but... I totally liked IsaDora's one!!! Amazingly it was exactly one-stroke-application, with me being able to draw a nice curve near cuticles. I'm puzzled.

The formula was fine too, 2 nonproblematic coats, happy end. And you don't really see the brush strokes (which I was afraid of) unless you're maniacally looking for them with a magnifying glass.

I'd love to hear your opinion on IsaDora, girls! What do you think about this brand? The brush?

Disko Ball Nails

Last weekend I had a kinda important event that I had to attend - the official part of my graduation ceremony, previously we just had a huge party, and now we received our degrees. So I had to invent some festive nail look to match the occasion but at the same time to avoid exaggerations. I think I suceeded pretty well:

Now let's have a closer look: it's not a nail foil or a silver holographic as it might seem in the beginning. It's a little sandwich from Essie Fill The Gap, Zoya Trixie and Essence Hello Holo that makes my nails look silvery and blingy.

We had gloomy weather all these days, so I cannot show you how beautiful it all looks under the sun, but I still tried to catch the holosparkles:

And a little bonus pic. I don't have kitties or cats to use as a cute background, but I have something else ;) ;)
[Sorry for the quality, it was cropped from a bigger photo..]

Swap №9: Purple Swap

It's been some time now that I've made another swap, and I cannot but show it! The pretty stuff you see below was sent to me by Karen D, I'm sure you all know her (especially for her great nail wheels and U.S. shop displays posts!!). It was a swap when I actually knew which polishes I'm going to receive (apart from some nice extras :), but before opening the box and putting them altogether I didn't realize it was a ... PURPLE SWAP! =) See yourself:

Left to right:
Confetti Purple Pizzazz
Finger Paints Heavenly Hydrangeas
Studio M Slammin' Red
Studio M Tru Passion
OPI Rosy Future (mini)
Studio M Purple Medallion
OPI Parlez-Vous OPI?
Claire's Mood Polish Calm/Wild

What I forgot to place on the picture is the ring!!! It came together with Finger Paints polish from this nice spring collection with rings, and Karen sent it to me as well... I'll show it next time.

Sooo many lemmings killed by this swap : ) As usual I had a problem where to begin with and which polish to try first. In the end I just could not confront the sparkly hologlitter, so the first one on my nails was Studio M Purple Medallion

This polish is definitely a musthave!!! I seriously don't understand why they are not so wide-spread, at least why I don't see the swatches often. But I did one serious mistake: I didn't cover it with a top coat. Once it's under a TC, it starts to sparkle and shine like crazy!

Thanks a lot, dear Karen!!! It was fun swapping with you and I'm really glad I got these polishes!!!

Psychedelic Pink Dust

Usually I'm indifferent to neons and megabright colours, but this summer was SO shitty in terms of weather that something insided me kept insisting on getting a couple of crazy shades. Just crazy shade was not enough and I chose one with crazy hologlitter - Color Club Space Case:

(2 coats)
BUT it turned out that this polish is much more boring in reality.. Hologlitter doesn't really stand out how I expected it to. Disappointed, I decided to bring more bling and topped it with China Glaze Fairy Dust. And here the party starts!

I have some more crazy blingy brights and I'd like to show them soon, but there are some circumstances that might prevent me from doing that, at least for now. You'll find out soon : )
This way or that, I really hope you all enjoy your summer and have a better weather than we here in Germany!
