Kaleidoscope Thermo t-02 by El Corazón

Traditionally, I will ask you: what's the difference between the polish on the left and on the right ? :)

This time it's easy to guess, because the colour change palette is drawn on the bottle cap :) Yes, yes, a thermopolish: El Corazón Kaleidoscope t-02

Unusual is the colour transition range: from light salad green (when warm) to warm rosy mauve (when cold). We all have seen pink-to-purple and blue-to-violet thermos, but this? Oh, and the polish also has nice golden shimmer, which I adore so much :)

The colours seem to be brighter under the sun, and what I like a lot is that these shades do not make my hands look red, although they easily could.

And so the colour change begins, slightly tinting the nail tips with pink...

...and converting them into the funky french manicure :)

The polish is extremely temperature sensitive - unlike other thermos I have. That means that the colour changes immediately once a cold/hot water drop falls on your nail, although most of the time you will be observing a smooth colour gradation on your hands.

As a conclusion I'd like to say that even if it was not a thermo polish, I would still buy it and wear it with pleasure. Besides, the application was just flawless in 2 coats, it's one of those polishes that you can apply with your eyes closed.

Actually, indoors the "cold' colour looks almost nude on me! A nice rosy nude with stunning golden shimmer!

Russian brands are so good at making nice thermo polishes, and El Corazón has the whole collection of thermos, you can see them here, for example. Reminding you that El Corazón ships worldwide, and all you have to do is to visit their web-site, pick the shades and write an e-mail to place your order.
*The nail polish was kindly provided by El Corazón company for my consideration. In this post I expressed my honest and unbiased opinion about the product.

Zeil Avenue

In reality it is of course Fifth Avenue by China Glaze, but I was mostly walking this polish over the main shopping street of Frankfurt - Zeil. Exactly on this "avenue" I found some Deborah Lippmann polishes which I have barely seen live before, so I couldn't miss my chance to play around with them (thank heaven there were testers for each shade!). Look what I tried on:

Honestly, I expected more from Lippmanns for such a price. Maybe I shouldn't judge from trying them on quickly in a shop, but there's no way that I can afford any DL polish in the nearest future, so until then I'll keep my "unimpressed" opinion : )

Much more I was satisfied with China Glaze Fifth Avenue itself: it's a cold dusty rose user- and your_office_colleagues_psychical_health-friendly polish, easy to handle and easy to wear. Although by itslef it chips from the nail tips pretty fast, with a top coat (INM, for example) it lives a long life of 5 days. Don't know, maybe even longer, I just got bored and removed it : )

Looks nice doesn't it? Lately I'm really keen on such classical although not boring (in my view) shades.. Getting older or so.. : )

Bad Story With A Good Polish

Each of us has a sad story to tell about online shopping, right? Well, my turn!

Around a year ago at the very outset of my polish addiction I was browsing ebay in search of nice polishes. So I came across the auction with Dior Divinely Pink, thinking "wow, I can get a high-end polish for a low price! Why not??". And I did. I payed a couple of euros and got the pack with the polish. It all looked perfect, until some time has passed and I actually noticed that the polish described as "new" or "used x1" - don't remember exactly, but I only buy polishes with this description - has settled down in the bottle and turned out to be almost finished!! Just look and compare:

These 2 pictures show how the bottle looks like when well shaken and when not. I didn't use the polish inbetween, honestly.
The "lovely girl" who sold this polish as new can have the whole scope of negative vibrations from my side. To put it very diplomatically, khem.

Meanwhile the polish itself is pretty nice: calm dark rose shade with golden shimmer. Being a huge fan of golden shimmer (I really think it makes any colour beautiful), I totally liked it, although the application was difficult - the polish got thick already...

And some stamping of course, because I'm not sure if I am able to use this polish again, cuz there's only a little left in the bottle...

Girls, did you have any bad experience with online shopping? I'd be glad if you share!
If you posted about it - feel free to drop links in the comments!

Changez

Originally I intended to avoid sharing personal stuff in my blog, but now as some events actually influence my postings, I have to. What happened is that I got an internship in another city of Germany starting right after the end of my studies. During the last week I went crazy while packing and moving. Imagine how it is to gather all your room and just go? : ) I've done that around 5 times for my 20+little years, so one more, one less - who cares. Hence, all those who somehow didn't get a response to comments/mails or to whom I'm really slow in answering - excuse that.. I'm getting back on track.

So, what does all this imply for my blog?
1) I will be showing office-friendly shades more often. No extremes! : that doesn't mean that I'll rename my blog into "Das Büro Experiment" and that I'll be spamming you with sheer nudes and boring frenchies. I just say that I'm not gonna be posting crazy glitters, neons etc. as often as used to.
2) Less konading. Less, not none : )
3) I might post not so often or unregularly. Although I'll try to keep my rhytm of posting every 2-3 days. My problem is not a lack of time, but a lack of opportunity to use daylight for swatches.

That's it. I'm sure that you'll have some understanding, dear readers, because you are great. And generous. =)

Then, why won't we start with some office friendly mani? :)

Lovely dusty rose - Zoya Zanna. A shade I'll always keep buying. Easy application (Zoya brushes rule!), fast drying, 2 coats. Nothing more to add. Pure love. Or rather a boring "grandma" colour? What do you think?
