Artists's Sapphire

And I continue with my super summer shades =)
Seriously, I don't know what's going on, winter (ha!) has passed but I'm still into dark and gloomy colours. But they attract me so much and look so nice.. For example this one, Finger Paints Artists's Sapphire (what a name!!):

I firmly believED that dark blue shimmer is absolutely not my type of colour - before I painted my nails with it. After that I couldn't stop staring on my hands :) Actually, myself I would never buy such a shade deliberately, moreover Finger Paints brand is not sold here in Germany - this bottle was sent to me in a swap by lovely Carolina, to whom I am very thankful for that - she knew exactly what I need!

Apart from a gorgeous name, this polish has a great formula, which is very easy to work despite it's a dark shade. On the photos I did 2 easy coats, no top coat. What I also like is the colour - it's such a rich and deep dark blue, that you will always want to stare at it, I guarantee!

Because I wear such blues quite seldom, I couldn't miss the chance to add some gold - dark blue and gold is one of my favourite colour combinations ever.

Post-V

Last manicure of "Valentine" series (I promise). The idea stroke me long ago, and finally I implemented it. Actually I'm very satisfied how it came out: both the colour combination and the stamping work, especially if to mention that I was using normal polishes for stamping, and not the Konad ones.

Squared Stamping

Moin moin!
This post is devoted to those readers who love stamping as much as I do, but who missed seeing it in my blog! So here is some for you:

You can notice that my nails are usually too long for standard Konad images, so I have to be somewhat inventive : ) For this "nail look" I've been using Manhattan 96E as a base colour and CG 2030 for stamping. Manhattan was very easy to apply (2 coats), and totally pleasant to work with. Some pure swatches:

What I can tell is that this polish is ranging from grey to brown depending on the light, it's a taupe, or "greige", if you want. Under the artificial one it becomes somewhat brownish:

Generally I'm supersatisfied with Manhattan brand, although they don't really have a wide range of interesting colours, you can always find some pearls. And the quality is always on top level! As well as the price.

piCture pOlish Blog Fest: Mellow Yellow

Today I was honoured to take part in piCture pOlish Blog Fest - a worldwide flash mob organized by lovely Australian girls, the founders of piCture pOlish brand. The colours for review were allocated randomly, but I was really lucky to get a trendy pale yellow creme - piCture pOlish Mellow Yellow:

The application was flawless, we all know that the cremes are sometimes hard to handle, but this was not the case. I applied 2 coats and it was enough for opaque even coverage; on the photos I was using neither BC nor TC, I wanted to be fair and to show the polish as it is. And it is awesome: both the shade, and the formula. Not that I'm a frantic yellow addict, but if it is to wear yellow, then definitely this one - pale and subtle pastel looks nice on nails of any length I guess.

That day I got compliments 2 times from random people, including a seller in a Kiko shop : ) She said it's a pity they don't have a similar shade hehe ^^ And of course I couldn't miss the opportunity to stamp over such a pretty base!

In conclusion: uf, long post with a tonne of pictures, but it was worth it. Mellow Yellow is definitely a lovely pastel shade and a user-friendly polish that left only positive impressions... And Australians ladies are lucky, as I heard, to be able to buy it from a vending machine! Otherwise you can order the polishes from the official site of piCture pOlish, they ship worldwide.

Thanks to those who made it till the end and I'm very curious to see other shades reviewed today!

*The polishes were kindly provided by piCture pOlish for review, however, this didn't influence my opinion in any way.

Models Own. So do I!

I know, I know, it's almost summer, but I missed my good old dusty purples.. especially untried ones! Some time ago I just randomly scored a good deal on ebay for this polish - Models Own Purple Ash. It was the first time to try this brand (I looove new brands), and I should say it was a pleasant experience :)

Again, after enjoying the colour for a day, I realized that I missed stamping : ) It was already hard with this nail length (should have taken Shirley's plates!), but still doable:

Do you also own what models own? :) Do you like these polishes?

P.S. Welcome to all of the new followers (and greetings to the old ones, of course), recently I had a big influx of you guys!

Black & White

Recently I'm very fond of playing with these 2 colours. Thanks heaven Essence has releazed a lot of these colours lately, so I had no problems with supplies. I was figuring out what mani to do with them and after deciding not to invent the bicycle I stopped at something simple and decent. Like this:
