Hey! DON'T Get In Lime!

Yea. Better for your moral integrity not to. Obviously I'm speaking about OPI Hey! Get In Lime! now. Please don't misunderstand me: the shade is super lovely and it's very long lasting (I'm wearing it for the 5th day now, I have not time to repaint my nails, studies, when will you end?) BUT the effort you have to make to actually lay it on your nails...ufff... Let's see:

Guess how many coats did I need? You won't. If you say 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 - that's gonna be wrong. From 3 to 5 is the right answer, on different fingers different number. Something like this is happening to me for the first time in my polish history.

Ah yes, the photos are with top coat: if not SV you would now be looking at bumpy weird things. Okay, let me be objective, there are 2 good things about this polish: 1) it dries fast, 2) thin brush (?!?! do I have a fake or what? OPI experts, could you explain me that? Some OPIs have this wide dinosaurbrush, and some a normal one?).

Such a mthfkr is this Get In Lime. But beautiful shade. But if I could choose now I'd buy some close dupe. Because of this damn formula I don't think I'll be using it soon again...

Some random stamping:

Voila.
Ladies, is it only me having problems with this one or it is like this by itself?

Lavender Time

It's been some time that I haven't worn lilac or lavender polishes, and I must say I've missed this colour on my nails. Now I had a suitable occasion to do it as I keep on testing the beauties I got from a previous swap, but as I got two lilac shades, I had to choose between OPI Do You Lilac It? and Zoya Marley, and I picked the latter.

Here it is, this subtle pastel beauty. It has a slight pearly finish that makes it stand out from other similar shades of my stash. Speaking of which:

Meet my sweet lilacs: Zoya Marley, China Glaze Agent Lavender and Essie Lilacism. I love them all :)

After wearing Marley for a day, I stamped the accent fingers. Lately I'm sooo lazy to stamp the full designs..

Generally speaking, Zoya Intimate collection is one of the rare cases when I wouldn't refuse to have all of the released shades, although I'm always very picky with my polishes. What about you, do you have any?

Banana Kitty

Again and again I'm being convinced that the name for my blog was chosen so accurately. More than half of my posts could start with the words "for the first time in my life...", and so can this one. Yes, yellow. Yes, never before. The only one in my collection so far, but what a pretty one!

You remember the "Hello Kitty plate" promotion of Born Pretty Store that other bloggers and me were writing about? Well, I finally got it a couple of days ago and decided to try it out:

Regarding the polish: it's Essence My Yellow Fellow from LE Blossoms etc... I couldn't help buying the whole collection, because these are my favourite creme pastels. So far I don't regret, but I must confess that at least this yellow is kinda capricious in application: all the swatchers said "2 coats", but I needed 3. And then  after the night I had scratches and linen traces (you can see on pic above) or however they are called. But I still like it, maybe because it's unique in my stash :)
