Forget-Me-Not

A blast from the past. The manicure I was wearing last December. Either the time goes very fast, or I am very slow in posting.. : ) Regardless, the polish is still pretty, a periwinkle shade by Essence - Forget-Me-Not

Essence Blossoms Etc. was the only collection (limited edition, actually) which I bought whole, as it was. I still don't regret about it - those pastels are so pretty. Essence Forget-Me-Not was a part of that collection - slightly dusty periwinkle creme with blue nanoshimmer, which is not any visible in reality but still makes the colour less flat. No issues with application, 2 easy coats.

And some stamping I did back then using Konad white polish and m63 plate..

I'm OK, You're Bouquet!

One more sign of my total nail polish maniacism is hunting polishes just for their names. Today I'll show you one of such "ooooo!! Great name!!! I want it soo much!! What colour was that actually?..." examples - meet OPI I'm OK, You're Bouquet. The difficulty with this one was that it came out as a US exclusive in 2009, and if not one kind swapper on MUA, it would probably just stay forever in my wish-list. But no, here it is:

An attempt to capture both hands:

As you can see, this polish is not any special. Pink. Creme. But what a name!!!! Ok, I shut up. Even the formula is not the best, 3 coats and pretty runny.. Although I was too spoiled by American Apparel Coney Island and China Glaze Something Sweet.  But that was later on, and OK Bouquet, as I call it shortly, landed on my WL even before I wrote my first post here.

And after adding some allure on it:

Please tell me I'm not the only one buying polishes just for their names?

Not So Office

I'm tired to write how much I love American Apparel polishes. All of them, or at least all of those I have. However, the one I'm showing today - American Apparel Office - is the least beloved one, we had to struggle with each other before I managed to tame its tricky texture and it managed to finaly cover my nails and self-even on them. I won.

I'd never say this colour is perfectly suitable for office. For office full of designers or painters maybe. Buuut I still wore it to work... seems that my boss didn't really understand the cool idea of pale green on someone's nails hehe.

As I said, the formula was unexpectedly tricky for AA - I needed 3 coats and a top coat, otherwise it would be all bumpy and yuck. The colour is nice though - cold toned pale green. Below - some stamping with CG Custom Kicks.

What do you think about not so office Office? : )

Malibu Green

Are you tired of American Apparels that I'm lately showing? No worries, just a couple more to go.. :) The thing is that I like this brand more and more! Time to choose something bright now - so I picked American Apparel Malibu Green. Actually according to Wiki this colour is called Robin Egg Blue. Yeah, whatever. I could also call it Gorgeous:

I got this polish from a swap with a lovely Carolina (I hope you are doing fine now, dear!!). Application was smooth, this is a one-coater (ooo AA, I love you for that!!) BUT beware people, this polish stains.
Aaand some stamping:

That's it :)

Something Blue

Today I've made a somewhat weird mani. I seriously don't know what inspired me, probably I just didn't want to stamp over the whole nail because I love the polish colour so much - China Glaze Secret Peri-wink-le. It's among my top-10, which I'm probably going to publish for fun in the end of the year or so. Anyway, in the end I got almost what I wanted, but I didn't think it will look that weird:

Actually this mani is weird in all possible senses: I took million of pictures before I got some decent ones, and for the first time in my life I've stamped my right hand better than the left one! I never even thought it's possible, cuz I'm right-handed.

Now question to my dear readers: Do you stamp/do free hand nail art better on one hand than on the other? Does it become easier with time?

Silber+grau/braun
